PetrolManiac is a market data and content platform. We designed it to work without accounts, logins or profiling, and we collect the minimum data needed to run the site. This page describes what that minimum is.
You can use every data tool on this site — model pages, valuation, comparisons, the import calculator — without creating an account or providing any personal information. Calculator and valuation inputs are processed to produce the result and are not stored or associated with you.
We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand aggregate usage (page views, referrers, device classes, Core Web Vitals). These tools are designed to be privacy-friendly: they do not use cross-site tracking cookies and report to us in aggregate form. We do not run advertising trackers and we do not sell or share personal data with data brokers.
We use Sentry to capture application errors so we can fix bugs. Error reports may include technical context such as your browser type, operating system and the page where the error occurred. We do not attach names or contact details to error reports.
We use cookies and browser storage only for essential functionality (for example, remembering interface preferences) and for the privacy-friendly analytics described above. We do not set third-party advertising cookies.
If you buy something from our shop, payment is processed by Stripe and fulfilment (printing and shipping) by Printful. To fulfil an order we pass along the data those services need: your name, shipping address, email address and the items ordered. Your card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never touch our servers. Stripe and Printful process this data under their own privacy policies; we retain order records only as long as needed for fulfilment, support and legal (e.g. tax) obligations.
If you contact us by email we keep the correspondence for as long as needed to handle your request. We do not add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent.
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you. Because we hold almost none, most requests concern shop orders or email correspondence — write to us and we will resolve them. Requests about listing data and attribution are covered on our data sources page.
Questions about your data: privacy@petrolmaniac.com.
Last updated: July 2026. We may update this policy as the service evolves; material changes will be reflected on this page.
